We are off to a fantastic start with 140 students registered! A couple changes to make note of…

We are collecting indoor and outdoor hats for local hospitals and the Hats Off for Cancer National Drive. We are asking for NEW hats and head scarves. Indoor hats are especially appreciated! The drive will take place Nov. 20—Dec. 18, with a special offering during the service on Dec. 18. Look for collection bins in the narthex.

Thank you for the overwhelming response to the call for Sunday School teachers! We have all the teachers spots filled! Yahoo! If you are interested in being on the sub list, let us know! We are still looking for some extra help in the musical opening for K-5th. If you are interested in getting the kiddos excited and organized to worship through music contact us!

Joel and I have prayerfully considered and accepted the responsibility of being Sunday School Superintendents at First. One of our goals is to equip the teachers with what they need to pass on faithful practices and actions to the students and to continue the positive work being done in the Sunday School. I have had the opportunity to go to Living Room Summit, which reaffirmed the importance for our youngsters to have faithful adults in their families, congregation and communities. Faith Families was another part of Living Room Summit. Faith Families is a family Bible story study that we look forward to implementing four times during the 2016-2017 Sunday School year. Stay tuned for more information!

Sunday School is back in full swing! Kids are busy learning, singing, and doing exciting projects. 

Please keep up to date on when your child has special events by using the Sunday School calendar. Each group will have Faith Building Blocks throughout the year. Each group will sing during worship.
