Supporting the Hunger Task Force, WAFER and other non-profit food organizations

Did you know that in the U.S., one of the world’s wealthiest countries, more than 11% struggle to get enough food to eat each day. 25.2% of people in La Crosse County live in poverty. 19 schools in the greater La Crosse area operate some kind of food pantry for their students.

Come out and join us to support the food pantries in the Coulee Region

This is a fundraiser, with 30% going to The Hunger Task Force, 30% to WAFER Food Pantry and 40% to whatever nonprofit food organization you as the walker choose. That could be Lutheran World Hunger, Onalaska Food Pantry, a school district, etc. You can get pledges from family and friends, or make a donation yourself.

Pledge forms/registration forms are available at couleeregionhungerwalk.org. Or you can simply make a donation at the website as well.

“We walk with our neighbors to end hunger”

We would like to invite you to join us for our 4th annual Coulee Region Hunger Walk. This year’s walk/run will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 1:30 pm. Coulee Region Hunger Walk is an organization with the goal of providing food for families in need.  The organization supports this goal with a yearly “Coulee Region Hunger Walk”.  We would like to thank you in advance for all you do to make your community a better place to live.

Check out couleeregionhungerwalk.org

The route for the 5km walk/run portion of the event will begin at Myrick Park Main Shelter.

Hunger Task Force and WAFER each receive 25% of the proceeds from each participant.  Participants can name another food relief organization to receive 50%.
