OWLs Fly to National Eagle Center

Our March outing will be to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN. The National Eagle Center encapsulates a world in which the iconic power and presence of eagles are known, respected, advocated for and protected. They are home to several non-releasable Bald Eagles and a nesting place for hundreds of others who come for the winter. We will begin the trip on the Minnesota side of the river to view Eagle nests and activity along the way. We will stop in Kellog, MN for a visit Lark’s Toy Store and Toy Museum with their wonderful toy museum and a chance to ride the hand carved carousel. From there we will venture to Wabash a for a scrumptious lunch before heading to the National Eagle Center. There we will attend a presentation on Eagles in our area and get to see their rescue Eagles close up, plus enjoy their many displays that have been redone since COVID. We will head home on the Wisconsin side, again looking for Eagles, but also for the not to be missed stop at Nelson’s Creamery for ICE CREAM. This is truly an adventure not to be missed. This marvelous adventure will begin at 8:30am, on Monday, Mar. 27 at the church. Cost to visit the Eagle Center is $12, lunch is on your own. If you are planning on joining us for the fun trip reply by email or call Brian Narveson at 630-816-5917.
