Our May outing will be a trip to Lanesboro, Minnesota, to take a guided bus tour of Amish farms and craftsmen. As we travel through this beautiful rolling countryside, Amish farmers may be seen working in the fields with horses and horse-drawn equipment, and their buggies may be seen tied to hitching posts in town. Our tour will stop at Amish workshops to view and have the chance to purchase quilts, furniture, small wood products, kitchen utensils, baked goods, candies and more. Following our tour we will have lunch at a local establishment with some time to visit the local museum and art shop after lunch. All of this fun will take place on Friday, May 25. We will meet at the church at 8:30 AM and return about 3:30 PM. Cost of the tour is $30, slightly less if we get enough participants. Lunch is on your own.
