Christmas Caroling

Sunday, December 11, 5-8pm. Hop on a bus and take a ride around Onalaska to visit and carol to those who need extra Christmas cheer! The bus leaves at 5pm sharp THIS Sunday, Dec. 11! All are welcome, EVEN AT THE LAST MINUTE! And join us after caroling for a potluck supper!

Sunday School Christmas Worship

Wednesday, December 14, 6:15pm. It is a wonderful time of year and a great way for our kids to spread their Christmas joy! Wednesday, Dec 14, during the 6:15pm worship! 

High School Christmas Party!

Get your holiday festing started early!! Classic holiday movies will play in the background while we eat supper... and lots of holiday cookies and treats. Sunday, December 18, 6-8:30pm

Faith Alive Creative Circle

Monday, December 19, 6-9pm. Meeting the third Monday of each month in the fellowship hall, the Faith Alive Creative Circle is a gathering of people working out their creative muscles. All are welcome to bring whatever project you are working on and enjoy fellowship while doing it. Join us!

OWLs Christmas Potluck

On Wed., December 21, the OWLs, a group for those 55+, will have their world-famous Christmas potluck at noon in the narthex. The gift exchange is optional; bring a gift if you would like to receive a gift. The gift theme is “An Old-fashioned Christmas.” Bring something purchased or handmade that reminds you of a Christmas past; keep the value to less than $10. Also, bring a few Christmas goodies to share in addition to your potluck dish and wear your favorite Christmas sweater or outfit. Questions? Contact Brian Narveson at owls@firslu.org.

Blue Christmas Worship

Wednesday, December 21, 6:15pm. Please join us at First Lutheran for an hour of worship including music, prayers, candlelight and reflection on what God is up to amidst our blue feelings around Christmas. Wednesday, December 21, 6:15pm.

Synod School of Theology

Grow in faith, develop your spirituality, deepen your discipleship, discern your baptismal vocation, and learn more about the Bible, theology and the Church. Three courses will be offered as 6-week sessions and offered three times each year in the fall, winter and spring. Courses include: Bible, Theology, Church History, Ministry Skills and Spiritual Development. The first session begins January 12, 2017. Luther College Nordic Choir

One of the top a cappella college choirs in the nation, the Nordic Choir will perform under the direction of guest conductor Jeffrey Douma on Sunday, January 22, at 4pm at First Lutheran. The concert performance by the 72-member Nordic Choir is open to the public. For advance tickets, call 800-4-LUTHER or go to tickets.luther.edu; tickets for sale at the door if not sold out.

Ski Trip to Winter Park, Co

Feb 16-20, 2017. English Lutheran invites members of First to join them on their ski trip to Colorado. Full cost to be determined, but registration cost will increase after Jan. 1, 2017. More info: 1stlu.org/skitrip
