Little LEAPs

This group is for parents/guardians and their children ages birth to 3 years old, and meets again on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 9:15am in room 102. We sing, dance, play, and pray together to learn ways to raise our little Christians in the home. We have time with the kids and time with just the adults. During the adult time, we have volunteers come in and play with our children as we talk. We welcome newcomers all the time.

Interrupted By Hope, Turning Towards Advent

Join the Sunday Morning with Coffee small group at 9:15am in the Mary Room for an Advent study. Interrupted By Hope, Turning Towards Advent is a DVD based study starting November 27. No homework required.

NEWSLETTER ASSEMBLY

It’s a relaxing way to volunteer! Monday, November 28, at 9am, to assemble the December newsletter. See you there! 

Sunshine Boys

The Sunshine Boys serve at First on the first Thursday of each month; the next meeting will be Thur., December 1, at 9am. The Sunshine Boys are an informal group that performs a variety of necessary tasks around the church; such as grounds clean-up, minor repairs, and other small jobs. Rolls and coffee are supplied to replenish your reserves! Dues are free! Contact Mike, our custodian, with any questions: mike@firstlu.org.

Grief Groups

Carrying on after the death of a loved one can be difficult and lonely. Join with others who have experienced loss, and listen and care for each other. Two groups to choose from, both meeting the first Thursday of the month, with the next meetings being Thursday, December 1:

  • 1pm in the Upper Rm, led by Nancy Beguin
  • 7pm at Gloria Kubiak’s home; call Gloria at 608.498.2762 if interested in joining

Baptismal Preparation

Youth Christmas Parties!

Get your holiday festing started early!! Classic holiday movies will play in the background while we eat supper... and lots of holiday cookies and treats.

High School: Sun., Dec. 18, 6-8:30pm

Cookie Baking at First!

Adults will bake cookies on Thurs., Dec. 8, at 6pm for our Young Youth to decorate on Sat., Dec. 10. If you plan to join us, please consider bringing a batch of your favorite cookie dough to add to the mix and a snack or beverage to share! A great night of fellowship and fun! 

Christmas Caroling

Sunday, December 11, 5-8pm. Hop on a bus and take a ride around Onalaska to visit and carol to those who need extra Christmas cheer! The bus leaves at 5pm sharp on Sunday, Dec. 11!

Butter Braids Fundraiser

Selling Nov. 27-Dec. 11! Pick up sale forms in the office; turn into the office by Sun., Dec. 11.  Pick up orders on Mon., Dec. 19 after noon.

Sunday School Christmas Worship

Wednesday, December 14, 6:15pm. It is a wonderful time of year and a great way for our kids to spread their Christmas joy! Wednesday, Dec 16, during 6:15pm worship!

Blue Christmas Worship

Wednesday, December 21, 6:15pm. Please join us at First Lutheran for an hour of worship including music, prayers, candlelight and reflection on what God is up to amidst our blue feelings around Christmas. Wednesday, December 21, 6:15pm.
