Upcoming Services

See this gallery in the original post

Worship services are now offered in-person as local conditions allow and with precautions in place. All indoor services will be live streamed at 1stlu.org/live. First plans to also offer outdoor worship occasionally during the 10:30am service (10am starting June 20) when weather permits.

Registration is no longer required for indoor worship, for both Sunday and Wednesday services. However, we ask everyone to sign-in upon arrival to assist with contact tracing if necessary.

The nursery is available for Sunday indoor services, for children that are newborn through age 4.

Precautions for In-Person Worship

Having everyone (including those who are already vaccinated) follow these precautions will help us to continue offering in-person worship…

  • Stay home if you or anyone in your household have any symptoms of COVID, had a recent positive diagnosis or have recently been in contact with a known exposure.

  • Registration is not required, but we ask that you sign-in with our greeter when you enter the building, to assist with contact tracing if needed.

  • For indoor worship everyone must be masked, covering both mouth and nose. Masks are not required for outdoor worship.

  • If you will be sitting with others who are “in your bubble,” plan to meet at First and enter the church together. Please distance yourself from others outside your family/bubble…

  • Social distance, keeping 6’ apart (please refrain from handshakes and hugs). Congregants will be seated every other row, 6’ or more apart, using different rows each service.

  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available at the entrance.

  • Ushers will direct you to your seat, and will direct you out at the end of worship.

  • No food nor beverages in the sanctuary.

  • No congregational singing (we’ll leave that to our musicians).

  • No fellowship hour; we ask that everyone exit the building after the service.

  • Surfaces are disinfected after each service.

If for any reason you do not feel comfortable with the above precautions, know that you are still invited to join us for worship at 1stlu.org/live! We will be live streaming all indoor services.

All Staff Are Fully Vaccinated

As of May 13, 2021, all office staff at First Lutheran are fully vaccinated. Following CDC guidelines, staff now have the option to not wear masks when working in the church on their own or with other staff, but are willing to wear a mask if asked to do so, and will continue to wear a mask in group settings where not all are vaccinated, such as worship and small groups.
