Clothes Closet Update for Aug. 2021

Since January 1, 2021, First Teen Clothes Closet (FTCC) has hosted 44 guests and given out more than 628 items (clothes, shoes, toiletries, hair care kits for black teens, and accessories. In January, we reopened by appointment only, and in mid-May, we returned to open shopping on Monday nights.

We are striving to increase our visibility because we know there are many families struggling from paycheck to paycheck or worse.

We would like to extend an invitation to you to be a volunteer host, and/or volunteer to serve on the FTCC committee. Please call Tamara at church, and she will put you in touch with a committee member to discuss these positions further.

Many thanks to Shari Hegland who served on the FTCC committee. Her excellent writing skills will be sorely missed. Shari also spent many Monday nights as a volunteer guest host.

Currently our Clothes Closet is well stocked, and we are not in need of donations except for clean hoodies, clean athletic pants and shorts, fun t-shirts, purses, wallets and toiletries. These items may be set in the bins to the right as you enter church. Thank you very much in advance.
