Clothes Closet Update for February 2019

The First Teen Clothes Closet has been overwhelmingly blessed in our new location. We’re getting more gently-used donations than ever, and distributing them to more than 2x as many teens as we previously served. But we are struggling to do so with the same volunteers as prior to our August relocation.

We need you!

We need volunteers who are willing to commit to helping out on a regular basis in a number of areas:

  • Sorting donations at the house — at your convenience!

  • Hosting Monday shopping hours (3:30-6:30 p.m.)

  • Resetting and organizing the Closet — Tuesdays, or at your convenience.

  • Teens to approve donations before they are stocked — talk with a committee member to make arrangements.

Can you work any of these tasks into your schedule once a week? Or even once a month? We want to continue to serve the teens of our community, but serving twice as many does take more time and commitment. We ask that you prayerfully consider if this ministry is one you can include in your giving of time and talents.

Thank you to those volunteers who are keeping the Closet open and on track — your commitment is essential to meeting our commitment to our guests.
