Small Group: Knowing Me, Knowing Them

Why are my kids so different from me? Join with other parents in a 5-week small group to discover your parenting personality type using the Enneagram, and explore how your personality affects your parenting style. Knowing Me Knowing Them by Tracy Tresidder, Margaret Loftus, and Jacqui Pollock will help you learn how to connect and stay connected with your children, whether they are newborns or adults. Grandparents will find it helpful, too. Led by Carla Stanton, this group will meet Sunday nights, April 3–May 5, 6:30–8pm.

Mabel Anderson Scholarship

Applications for the Mabel Anderson Scholarship are now available. Completed applications are due no later than noon on April 8.

Drawing from the Well

First Lutheran invites all women to participate in this discipline, where we will explore the idea of wellness, exploring an aspect of the ELCA’s wellness wheel at each meeting. They meet on the second Saturday of the month, from 8:30am–1:30pm. Next retreat: Sat., April 9; the focus will be on core values. Contact Pastor Karyn for more info: karyn@firstlu.org.

Throughout the simulation each person follows one of four “stories” to guide them along the track. Along the way, participants are confronted with different obstacles that help them realize some of the struggles those walking for water may encounter. Volunteers also needed: sign up at 1stlu.org/walk4water.
