Sugar Creek Golf Tournament Fundraiser

COME FOR SUPPER
First Lutheran is assisting with Come for Supper on Tuesday, July 28, at Our Savior’s in La Crosse. First Lutheran will help with food donations and volunteering to serve and clean up. The sign-up sheets are on the Connecting Point table. Call Gloria Kubiak if you have questions, 608.498.2762.
Baptismal Preparation
A baptism preparation session will be held Saturday, August 1, at 10am in the narthex for anyone who is considering or has scheduled a baptism. To register or ask questions, contact the church office: 608.783.2236 / office@firstlu.org.
Nurse/Doctor Needed
Sugar Creek Bible Camp is looking for a volunteer nurse or doctor the week of August 2–7 (Sunday at noon through Friday at approximately 2pm). They are short that week and need someone. The nurse or doctor can bring their family along free for the week; and if there is room in cabin groups, they can even place their children (or grandchild) in our programs. OWLS
On Wed., August 5 the OWLs, a group for those 55+, will have their next potluck at noon in the narthex. The program will be Cody Rickway from Thrivent who will talk to us about fraud protection and prevention. Contact Brian Narveson at owls@firslu.org with any questions.
Volunteer Appreciation Picnic

NEW MEMBER SESSIONS
First Lutheran welcomes all people to participate in Christ’s mission through our ministries, worship and programs, whether you are a member or not. Membership does, however, benefit our congregation. If you’re a member, we know your contact information, can more easily provide you with ministry opportunities and invite you to offer your gifts to the rest of this family of faith. The next new member session will be Sunday, September 27, with new member Sunday on October 4. Children are welcome to be present. Prayers for All returning from the National Youth Gathering
Please keep in your prayers all 30,000+ youth and chaperons who are traveling back home after the National Youth Gathering in Detroit.
KAYWOS Clothes Available for Sale
KAYWOS cloths, “Klean Anything WithOut Streaks”, are available for sale from the church office during office hours, Mon.–Fri, 8am–4pm. Proceeds help with purchases not covered by the budget.
Care Notes
Care Notes are available at no charge to take home, and can be picked up in the back of the narthex, at the prayer area.

Courageous Men’s Group
The Courageous Men’s Group are men of all ages who meet weekly on Wednesdays at 6am in the house (adjacent to First Lutheran on 4th Ave) for a time of fellowship and study. Contact Chad Schultz, Jim Sysimaki, or the church office for more info: courageous@firstlu.org.
