Preschool Registration
Preschool registration is March 12, from 9:30am-noon for church members, and 10:30am-noon for the community. To register, stop into the First Lutheran Preschool during the registration times above, or call the preschool at 608.779.4504.
Tour the Clothes Closet
Take a peek inside the First Teen Clothes Closet and learn more about the ministry during two open house times for the congregation:
- 7pm Wednesday, March 14, after the Lenten service
- 9:15-10:15am Sunday, March 18, between services
OWLs Potluck
On Wednesday, March 14, the OWLs, a group for those 55+, will have their monthly potluck at noon in the narthex. We will once again provide lunch for morning worshipers, so bring a little extra to share. Our program will be by Frieda and Pastor Ron Nowland, about salt. Questions? Grief Support Group
Carrying on after the death of a loved one can be difficult and lonely. Join with others who have experienced loss, and listen and care for each other. Meeting the third Thursday of the month, 1pm in the Upper Room. Led by Nancy Beguin.

Take a Walk (Through Holy Week)
For our Young Youth, Friday, March 23…
- Grades K-2: 5-7pm
- Grades 3-5: 6:30-8pm
Come for a time to be with friends in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoy supper together and a time for taking a walk through holy week!
Palm Sunday Breakfast Fundraiser
Sunday, March 25: Fundraiser for youths going to National Youth Gathering, mission trips and Bible camp. No coffee hour nor Sunday School between services. Breakfast will be served 9-10:30am. Food donations are needed, and youth can raise funds by working at the breakfast; sign-up for both at 1stlu.org/palmsun.
COME FOR SUPPER
First Lutheran is assisting with Come for Supper on Tuesday, March 27, at Our Savior’s in La Crosse. First Lutheran will help with food donations and volunteering to serve and clean up. The sign-up sheets are at the Welcome Center. Call Gloria Kubiak if you have questions, 608.498.2762.
Summer Produce CSA
This summer First Lutheran will be a pick up location for the Small Family Farm CSA (community supported agriculture), on Wednesdays, 11am-6pm… so you can pick up your produce and then attend worship! Price increases April 1. More info: 1stlu.org/csa.
Blood Drive
Thursday, April 5, 12:30-5:30pm. Every day, ordinary people are saved by some pretty extraordinary people. People who give blood. Your donation could be the most valuable gift you ever give. Just ask anyone who’s ever received. Walk-ins welcome; appointments encouraged, schedule yours at

New Member Directories Are In
Directories can be picked up while at church, or stop by the office during office hours. If you had a photo taken or submitted a photo, you get a free directory; others can purchase one for $5.
Mabel Anderson Scholarship
Applications are now available. Completed applications are due no later than 3pm on Monday, April 23. Students may apply if they will graduate from high school in the spring and have plans to pursue post-secondary education. Application forms are available at 1stlu.org/scholarship or in the church office during office hours, M-F 8am-4pm.
Quilters Need Fabric
The First Lutheran quilters need sheets (gently used) and can always use fabric. Donations may be dropped off at the church office.
NEW-MEMBER SESSIONS
We offer several new-member sessions each year to acquaint new members with First and a small group of other newcomers. People who would like to become members of First Lutheran are invited to a 3-week introduction to the church, presented in a small-group setting. The group will meet in the evening on Apr. 15, Apr. 22, and Apr. 26. To register your family or ask questions please call our church office at 608.783.2236 or email office@firstlu.org.
