Middle School Youth Group Kick-Off

We will kick off our monthly Middle School Youth Group on Sunday, Nov. 6, noon-2pm. We will meet for a time of games, modern Christian music, fellowship and devotions. Lunch will be provided. 

Peer Ministry 

Peer Ministry is a great way for our 10th graders to learn about how to deal with any situation that arises, large or small. It makes handling conflicts simple and equips them to be better listeners and be welcoming to all those around them. Meeting most Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm (with a meal provided at 6pm), starting November 9.

High School Sugar Creek Retreat

Friday, Nov. 11, 6pm — Sunday, Nov. 13, 12pm. Come spend a weekend in the beautiful valley of Sugar Creek Bible Camp. This retreat will be full of outdoor activities, learning together, good food, campfires, night games and more! Cost is $75, and Tina will provide transportation in the church van. RSVP to tina@firstlu.org.

Faith Alive Creative Circle

Monday, November 21, 6-9pm. Meeting the third Monday of each month in the fellowship hall, the Faith Alive Creative Circle is a gathering of people working out their creative muscles. All are welcome to bring whatever project you are working on and enjoy fellowship while doing it. Join us!

Young Youth Volunteering at Humane Society

If you like animals, especially cats and dogs, this event is for you!!! Young Youth, a group for grades 2–5, will be volunteering at the Humane Society, on Tuesday, November 22, from 4-5pm. RSVP to katie@firstlu.org.

COME FOR SUPPER

First Lutheran is assisting with Come for Supper on Tuesday, November 22, at Our Savior’s in La Crosse. First Lutheran will help with food donations and volunteering to serve and clean up. The sign-up sheets are at the Welcome Center. Call Gloria Kubiak if you have questions, 608.498.2762.

at the Onalaska Armory.

Ski Trip to Winter Park, CO, with English Lutheran

Feb 16–Feb 20, 2017. English Lutheran invites members of First to join them on their ski trip to Winter Park, in Colorado. Full cost is yet to be determined, but deposit due dates are in October and December, with increased registration cost after January 1, 2017. For more info go to 1stlu.org/skitrip.

Welcome Center

Whether you’re new to First Lutheran or a member here, our Welcome Center near the front entrance is the place to ask questions and request information. A friendly face is always waiting to help you.

Baptismal Preparation

A baptism preparation session will be Saturday, December 3, at 10am in the narthex for anyone who is considering or has scheduled a baptism. To register or ask questions, contact the church office: 608.783.2236 / office@firstlu.org.

Little LEAPs

This group is for parents/guardians and their children ages birth to 3 years old, and meets the last Sunday, at 9:15am in room 102. We sing, dance, play, and pray together to learn ways to raise our little Christians in the home. We have time with the kids and time with just the adults. During the adult time, we have volunteers come in and play with our children as we talk. We welcome newcomers all the time—join us! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer who helps our children during adult time, please contact Carla Stanton, carla@firstlu.org.
