First Clothes Closet has had another productive month of providing needed clothing and toiletries for our teenage guests.

Volunteers at the closet have begun to bring our guest’s prayer requests to our pastors so the whole church can pray for their needs together. Volunteers are also inviting our guests to participate in First Lutheran teen activities and will provide information about our upcoming events.

We have needs for toiletries; new hairbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and toothpaste and also larger size summer clothing. Monetary donations are also gladly accepted to buy needed items.

We will begin turning over to fall/winter clothing on three consecutive Sundays this fall and are looking for volunteers after Sunday 10:30 am services on September 27, October 4 and October 11. There will be a sign up sheet at First Fest for confirmands and anyone else interested in sorting and hanging donated clothing for fall/winter.
