Last week First Lutheran received word from the synod office about the death of our brother in Christ, Ordean L. Grant. Pastor Grant died Tuesday, July 22, at 81 years of age. Pastor Grant served two congregations in this synod, first as an associate pastor at First Lutheran in Onalaska from 1982–1988 and then as pastor of St. John Lutheran in Alma. He retired from the ministry there in January 1997 and has spent most of his retirement years in St. Charles, MN. The funeral service for Pastor Grant was Saturday, July 26, at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church in Austin, MN. Keep his family in your prayers. Cards can be sent to 681 E 4th St, Saint Charles, MN 55972.
